Professional Background:

With over 20 years of dedication to social services, Viki has amassed a rich experience, predominantly in the youth sector, holding management positions for various community NGOs and government-funded contracts in the Wide Bay QLD region. Currently, she holds the esteemed title of Regional Youth Programs Manager for a prominent NGO. Prior to her frontline roles, Viki demonstrated her business acumen by delivering NEIS and Entrepreneurship programs for TAFE.

Her impressive leadership portfolio includes being an Alumni member of USC Women in Regional Remote Enterprise, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management, and a role on the Local Government Advisory Group for Youth. Moreover, Viki serves as a Director for the National Group – Community Housing LTD (Qld) and contributes actively in policy development and management committees for a Mental Health NGO.

Experience:

Throughout her career, Viki has addressed a myriad of youth needs. This includes initiatives in Youth Housing to prevent homelessness, launching employment programs with Workforce Australia and Regional NAC, and designing education modules for alternative settings such as TAFE and independent RTOs. Her invaluable role as a First Responder in non-clinical/crisis support for youth mental health, combined with her advocacy for youth and families in the justice system, underlines her dedication.

Viki's journey began with a trade background. She kickstarted her training at TAFE, transitioning from the Business faculty to Community Services. As training opportunities opened up for the broader community via non-government RTOs, Viki adeptly navigated these changes, contributing to industry standards and best practices. She proudly imparts her knowledge by training and assessing students across all her qualification levels, from Certificate I to Advanced Diploma.
